About

Greetings! My name is TJ, and I would like to personally welcome you to my world of food and music!

I believe that there isn’t just one formula in life that can lead to happiness and success, so instead of taking the conventional route, I decided to create my own recipe for life by using the soulful ingredients of music and food, which happen to be my two greatest passions. I call my recipe, MUSICHEF!!

So many of you friendly viewers may be wondering how this blog came to be.. and sometimes I wonder myself too. Let’s just say that studying science led me to writing songs and baking souffle’s and after tasting some gourmet recipes at the Food Network in NYC, I ended up in the great Beijing. Let me guess, you had to read that twice and still your response was – “what?!”. Let’s open up the path of my past one entry at a time, but for now let’s focus on the present and the future of your taste buds and melody in your ears.

My motto in life is ‘You only live once, but if you do it right once is all you need, so live life to the fullest without any regrets’. Since I love to pair up good food with good music, I thought I’d share this passion with people outside of my friendship circle, since after all, sharing is caring!

So in a nutshell, that’s how musichef.com came to life.

Here’s a quick rundown of what you will find in this blog:

  • MusicMenu
Playlists of song + food pairings according to different moods and seasons.
  • Eclectic Collection of Recipes & Journals
Inspired by music, movies, travel adventures and life’s various surprises
  • Recipes for Life
Inspiring stories, pictures, quotes, and a dash of little life tips that will enrich your life

The kitchen somehow ended up to be my constant home for sharing music, recipes, and life adventures and I believe that there is something magical about the power of music and food to heal and bring people of different cultures together. Just as life provides all of us with a unique set of gifts, life also sets us up with a variety of special ingredients, and how we use these spices to the fullest is up to us.

So needless to say, I welcome any and every person with a warm heart, a hungry appetite, and open ears to my musichef blog. So turn up the volume and make some noise, because it’s time to get busy singing, dancing and cooking in the kitchen!!
